Preview Album
Read the album cleanly before proofing or export.
Preview is the quiet version of the album.
The editor is where you build. Preview is where you read. No photo drawer. No layout knobs. No panel noise. Just the spreads, the order they land in, and a fast path back to the editor when something needs another pass.
Preview Workspace
A stripped reading workspace: back to album, status, quick counts, mode toggle, one clean viewing stage, and a direct return path to the editor.

12 spreads
In the real app, preview remembers the selected mode, keeps the current spread in context, and sends grid clicks back into flipbook on the spread you chose.
What Preview Is For
- read the album without editor chrome in the way
- switch between Flipbook for one-spread focus and Grid for a fast scan across the whole project
- spot weak pacing, awkward spread order, or one spread that still needs work
- jump back into the editor before you move on to proofing or export
What You Can Do Here
- The header stays light on purpose: back to album, status, quick counts, mode switch, and Open in Editor.
- Flipbook keeps one spread in focus and gives you a clear current-position counter.
- Grid turns the full album into numbered thumbnails, so you can scan the story in one pass.
- In the real product, clicking a spread in grid sends you back into flipbook on that exact spread.
- If the album has no spreads yet, preview does not fake the experience. It sends you back to the editor to make something worth previewing.
What Preview Is Not
- not client proofing
- not another editing mode
- not the export settings step
Preview sits between design and proofing, but its job is simpler than that: see the album the way a reader sees it before anyone else does.
