Roadmap
What we're committed to shipping this year, and what we're still kicking around.
Spreadu is built with photographers, not just for them. Every feature on this page started somewhere real: a reply to an email at 11 PM, a "hey, what if..." on a Sunday call, a photographer telling us mid-wedding-season what was actually broken.
We don't have a product committee deciding what photographers want from a glass conference room. We have you, your inbox, and a notebook we keep filling. This page works both ways. It's where we tell you what's coming, and it's where we hear from you what should come next.
So, what do you want your album designer to be? Send us a note, or just hit reply on any email we've sent you. The loudest, most useful ideas tend to land right back on this page.
Speaking of which. Two lists below. The first one is what we're actually committed to, with target quarters we'll move heaven and earth to hit. The second is the honest stuff. Real ideas, real plans on a whiteboard, but no date locked yet because the feasibility work isn't done.
Coming this year
Affiliate program for partners Q2 2026. Fellow photographers refer Spreadu and earn a share. Built for genuine word-of-mouth between working pros, not for influencer farms.
AI photo analysis Q2 2026. Automatic scene reading and photo-level signals inside the album workflow. Think better grouping, smarter review, and richer context around the images you upload, without turning the product into a gimmicky AI toy. Not live yet. Still coming.
Album editor add-ons Q2 2026. A real layer system inside the spread editor. Text, shapes, and other non-photo elements you can place above, below, or between your photos, with the same drag, resize, rotate, and snap behavior the photo layer already has.
Spreadu in your language Q3 2026. Multilanguage rollout across the web app and the hosted lab editors. The whole product, not just the marketing pages. On the list: Spanish, French, German, Polish, Italian, Portuguese, and a few more after that. No fixed order yet. Email us which one you want first and the votes shape the queue.
Still kicking around
Lightroom Classic exporter. A Spreadu export plug-in for Lightroom Classic. Select photos, hit export, watch them land straight in a Spreadu album. No file-picker round-trip, no "where did I save those JPEGs?" The plan exists. The feasibility spike is what decides when this becomes a date.
Instagram carousel designer. The carousel builder we've been teasing, polished and live. Same layout engine that lays out your wedding albums, tuned for 4:5 Instagram posts. Real plan, no date locked yet.
Photo Library redesign. The photo panel inside the album editor is due for a proper glow-up. More filters so you find the shot you need fast, a cleaner and snappier UI, and a built-in quick editor for small fixes without leaving the album. We're shaping this one with your feedback right now, so this is the best moment to influence it. Tell us what your photo library is missing.
AI Album Builder. The most ambitious thing on this page. Spreadu exists to save you time and to help you earn from albums, yet so many photographers still skip albums altogether. Too slow, too fiddly, too easy to put off. That's real income left on the table after every shoot. So we're building our own in-house AI model with one goal: a complete, genuinely well-designed album from a single click, with a target of 3 to 4 minutes from photos to a design you'd proudly show a client. Most AI album tools we've seen follow preset recipes. They arrange photos without understanding them. Ours has to get the story in your photos first, then design around it. A wedding reads differently than a newborn session, and the builder should know that. Nothing like this exists yet, which is exactly why it sits in this list and not the dated one. Tell us what the AI should get right.
Between the big drops
The features above are the big ones, the meaty ones that take months to ship. They are not the whole story. Spreadu ships every week, sometimes more than once. Quiet tweaks, fixes nobody asked for but everybody noticed, polish that turns rough edges smooth. We keep a notebook full of ideas, and most of them never make this page because they shipped before we finished writing the bullet.
For everything in between, watch the changelog. This page is for the stuff worth planning around.
Want one of these sooner? Tell us which one and why. We read every reply and your feedback genuinely shifts the order.
Dates can slip, scope can change. When something moves we'll update this page, not wait until the end of the quarter to admit it.
